Green signs with Israeli champs

Rodney Green made quite an impact during his time at La Salle. Now, he hopes that ability to make a difference on the basketball court follows him overseas.
Green, who led the Explorers in virtually every important offensive category as a junior and a senior, has signed with Galil Gilboa of the Israeli Premier League. Following a summer during which Green worked out for several NBA teams and played with the Boston Celtics’ summer-league team, Green now takes his hoops to Israel.
Green averaged 18.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game as a senior in 2009-10. As a junior, Green scored 17.8 points per game, with 5.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.9 steals. He led the Explorers in points per game, assists per game and steals per game in both seasons.
An all Big 5 first-team and All Atlantic-10 second-team pick in each of his final two seasons as La Salle, the 6-foot-5 Green finished his career with 1,914 points scored.
Green is expected to start for Galil Gilboa, the defending Israeli Premier League champions.
